# Sigma VPN vs VPN Hotspot Proxy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sigma VPN at 67% against VPN Hotspot Proxy's 17%. Sigma VPN also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). VPN Hotspot Proxy's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Hotspot Proxy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Sigma VPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN Hotspot Proxy holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 63 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Sigma VPN's written reviews are positive against 17% of VPN Hotspot Proxy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sigma VPN ships an update every 3 months, VPN Hotspot Proxy every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
