# Straight Talk Cloud vs AirTalk Wireless

The clearest difference is ads: AirTalk Wireless at none against Straight Talk Cloud's shown. AirTalk Wireless also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 9 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Straight Talk Cloud holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AirTalk Wireless has 18K ratings behind it against 2.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Straight Talk Cloud's written reviews are positive against 46% of AirTalk Wireless's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Straight Talk Cloud ships an update every 9 months, AirTalk Wireless weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
