# TextWatch vs LockInNote

The clearest difference is rating: LockInNote at 5.0 against TextWatch's 3.3. LockInNote also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). TextWatch's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (27 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockInNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TextWatch asks for nothing beyond the download.

LockInNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TextWatch has 27 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
