# Widget Wizard vs Widgetal

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Widget Wizard at 63% against Widgetal's 21%. Widgetal's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (589 vs 57). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widget Wizard sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months and Widgetal sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widgetal holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgetal has 589 ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Widget Wizard's written reviews are positive against 21% of Widgetal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Widget Wizard ships an update every 2 weeks, Widgetal every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
