# TimeWave vs Loop

TimeWave and Loop both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of TimeWave's written reviews are positive against 63% of Loop's. Loop's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeWave sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Loop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeWave holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 68 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of TimeWave's written reviews are positive against 63% of Loop's.

TimeWave ships an update every 3 weeks, Loop every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
