# TouchPay vs Mecato

The clearest difference is rating: Mecato at 5.0 against TouchPay's 3.2. Mecato also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). TouchPay's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mecato holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TouchPay has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TouchPay ships an update every 2 months, Mecato every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
