# ENERGIZER SMART vs BRIGHTLUX

The clearest difference is rating: ENERGIZER SMART at 4.7 against BRIGHTLUX's 2.3. ENERGIZER SMART also leads on ratings volume (388 vs 20). BRIGHTLUX's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ENERGIZER SMART holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ENERGIZER SMART has 388 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of ENERGIZER SMART's written reviews are positive against 50% of BRIGHTLUX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ENERGIZER SMART ships an update every 9 months, BRIGHTLUX every 16 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
