# PerfectPrep vs Algebra Tutor

The clearest difference is rating: PerfectPrep at 4.6 against Algebra Tutor's 3.0. PerfectPrep also leads on ratings volume (878 vs 3). Algebra Tutor's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PerfectPrep sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Algebra Tutor sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PerfectPrep holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PerfectPrep has 878 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of PerfectPrep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Algebra Tutor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
