# PerfectPrep vs Ace ACT Tutor

The clearest difference is ads: PerfectPrep at none against Ace ACT Tutor's shown. PerfectPrep also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (878 vs 6). Ace ACT Tutor's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PerfectPrep sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Ace ACT Tutor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PerfectPrep holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PerfectPrep has 878 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of PerfectPrep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ace ACT Tutor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PerfectPrep ships an update fortnightly, Ace ACT Tutor every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
