# SiteScape vs ComicReader

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SiteScape at 61% against ComicReader's 13%. SiteScape also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (943 vs 51). ComicReader's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SiteScape sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month and ComicReader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SiteScape holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SiteScape has 943 ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of SiteScape's written reviews are positive against 13% of ComicReader's.

SiteScape ships an update every 3 weeks, ComicReader every 5 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
