# QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans vs QR Finder

The clearest difference is review sentiment: QR Finder at 100% against QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans's 36%. QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and QR Finder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans has 82 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans's written reviews are positive against 100% of QR Finder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QR Code Reader · Barcode Scans ships an update every 5 days, QR Finder every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
