# IPsec VPN vs Ethical Secure VPN

The clearest difference is rating: IPsec VPN at 4.1 against Ethical Secure VPN's 2.0. IPsec VPN also leads on ratings volume (41 vs 10) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Ethical Secure VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPsec VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ethical Secure VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPsec VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of IPsec VPN's written reviews are positive against 96% of Ethical Secure VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IPsec VPN ships an update monthly, Ethical Secure VPN every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
