# Inspirater vs Firstext

The clearest difference is update cadence: Firstext at every 2 weeks against Inspirater's every 5 weeks. Inspirater's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inspirater sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.49 per month and Firstext sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inspirater ships an update every 5 weeks, Firstext every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
