# Aimchess vs Chessity

The clearest difference is rating: Aimchess at 3.9 against Chessity's 3.0. Aimchess also leads on ratings volume (195 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aimchess sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Chessity sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aimchess holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aimchess has 195 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Aimchess ships an update monthly, Chessity fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
