# Aimchess vs ChessFlare

The clearest difference is rating: ChessFlare at 4.3 against Aimchess's 3.9. ChessFlare also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 51%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). Aimchess's advantage is ratings volume (197 vs 3) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aimchess sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and ChessFlare sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
