# Paper Mingle vs Make Ways

The clearest difference is ads: Paper Mingle at none against Make Ways's shown. Paper Mingle also leads on rating (4.1 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paper Mingle sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Make Ways sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paper Mingle holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Paper Mingle's written reviews are positive against 75% of Make Ways's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Paper Mingle ships an update every 2 weeks, Make Ways monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
