# TimeDeck vs Lock Screen Widgets App

The clearest difference is monetization model: TimeDeck at free with in-app purchases against Lock Screen Widgets App's subscription. TimeDeck also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 29%). Lock Screen Widgets App's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 67). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeDeck sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Lock Screen Widgets App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lock Screen Widgets App holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lock Screen Widgets App has 1.1K ratings behind it against 67, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of TimeDeck's written reviews are positive against 29% of Lock Screen Widgets App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TimeDeck ships an update monthly, Lock Screen Widgets App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
