# Linga vs Readlang Language Readers

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Linga at 198 against Readlang Language Readers's 6. Linga also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). Readlang Language Readers's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linga sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Readlang Language Readers sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Linga holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linga has 198 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Linga's written reviews are positive against 100% of Readlang Language Readers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Linga ships an update every 2 weeks, Readlang Language Readers every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
