# JBL Pro Connect vs Equalizer

The clearest difference is rating: Equalizer at 4.3 against JBL Pro Connect's 2.2. Equalizer also leads on ratings volume (6.5K vs 207). JBL Pro Connect's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Equalizer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. JBL Pro Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Equalizer holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Equalizer has 6.5K ratings behind it against 207, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 15% and 16% positive.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
