# Scene vs BarSwipe

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BarSwipe at none against Scene's 2. BarSwipe also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.6). Scene's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scene sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. BarSwipe asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Scene against 5.0 for BarSwipe. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scene has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on July 5, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
