# Barrel Roller vs Stair Master!

The clearest difference is rating: Stair Master! at 4.5 against Barrel Roller's 4.1. Stair Master! also leads on ratings volume (6.6K vs 76) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). Barrel Roller's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 20%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Barrel Roller sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stair Master! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stair Master! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stair Master! has 6.6K ratings behind it against 76, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Barrel Roller's written reviews are positive against 20% of Stair Master!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Barrel Roller ships an update every 4 weeks, Stair Master! weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
