# Barrel Roller vs Cutting Run!

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cutting Run! at 100% against Barrel Roller's 43%. Cutting Run! also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 weeks). Barrel Roller's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (75 vs 4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Barrel Roller sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cutting Run! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Barrel Roller holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Barrel Roller has 75 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Barrel Roller's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cutting Run!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Barrel Roller ships an update every 4 weeks, Cutting Run! every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
