# Stack Rider vs Pencil Rush 3D

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pencil Rush 3D at none against Stack Rider's 1. Pencil Rush 3D also leads on ratings volume (44K vs 756) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). Stack Rider's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stack Rider sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Pencil Rush 3D asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pencil Rush 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pencil Rush 3D has 44K ratings behind it against 756, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Stack Rider's written reviews are positive against 53% of Pencil Rush 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stack Rider ships an update every 2 weeks, Pencil Rush 3D every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
