# Bright Breaks vs Elev

The clearest difference is rating: Bright Breaks at 4.3 against Elev's 3.0. Bright Breaks also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 2). Elev's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 63%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bright Breaks holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Bright Breaks's written reviews are positive against 75% of Elev's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bright Breaks ships an update every 4 months, Elev every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
