# VIDAA vs TV Remote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VIDAA at none against TV Remote's 6. VIDAA also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (13K vs 588). TV Remote's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. VIDAA asks for nothing beyond the download.

VIDAA holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VIDAA has 13K ratings behind it against 588, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of VIDAA's written reviews are positive against 38% of TV Remote's.

VIDAA ships an update every 2 months, TV Remote every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
