# Fastin vs WeightRecord

The clearest difference is monetization model: WeightRecord at free with in-app purchases against Fastin's subscription. WeightRecord also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 33%). Fastin's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10K vs 4). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fastin sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and WeightRecord sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WeightRecord holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fastin has 10K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Fastin's written reviews are positive against 50% of WeightRecord's.

Fastin ships an update every 3 weeks, WeightRecord fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
