# ONS+ vs Smile On

The clearest difference is update cadence: Smile On at every 3 days against ONS+'s every 3 months. Smile On also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ONS+ ships an update every 3 months, Smile On every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
