# Progrex vs Taptic

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Progrex at none against Taptic's 3. Progrex also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Taptic's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Taptic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Progrex asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Progrex against 4.6 for Taptic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Taptic has 28 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Progrex ships an update every 4 days, Taptic monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
