# Lockbook vs Jot

Lockbook and Jot both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Lockbook's written reviews are positive against 89% of Jot's. Jot's advantage is ratings volume (45 vs 14) and iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lockbook sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Jot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Lockbook against 4.9 for Jot. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 45 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Lockbook's written reviews are positive against 89% of Jot's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
