# THERMS vs Field/io

The clearest difference is rating: Field/io at 5.0 against THERMS's 2.9. Field/io also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). THERMS's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and ratings volume (38 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Field/io holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: THERMS has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of THERMS's written reviews are positive against 0% of Field/io's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

THERMS ships an update every 3 weeks, Field/io every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
