# Gratsy vs Diary Card

Gratsy and Diary Card both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 79% of Gratsy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Diary Card's. Gratsy also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks). Diary Card's advantage is ratings volume (317 vs 37) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gratsy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Diary Card sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Diary Card holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary Card has 317 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Gratsy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Diary Card's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gratsy ships an update every 6 days, Diary Card every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
