# BARQ! vs SCP

The clearest difference is rating: SCP at 4.3 against BARQ!'s 2.9. SCP also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 33%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). BARQ!'s advantage is ratings volume (328 vs 54). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BARQ! sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SCP sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SCP holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BARQ! has 328 ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of BARQ!'s written reviews are positive against 75% of SCP's.

BARQ! ships an update every 4 weeks, SCP weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
