# BARQ! vs FOLX Community Platform

The clearest difference is rating: FOLX Community Platform at 3.6 against BARQ!'s 2.9. FOLX Community Platform also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). BARQ!'s advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 11%) and ratings volume (319 vs 58). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BARQ! sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. FOLX Community Platform asks for nothing beyond the download.

FOLX Community Platform holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BARQ! has 319 ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of BARQ!'s written reviews are positive against 11% of FOLX Community Platform's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BARQ! ships an update every 4 weeks, FOLX Community Platform weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
