# BARQ! vs Model Train Media

The clearest difference is rating: Model Train Media at 5.0 against BARQ!'s 2.9. Model Train Media also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 weeks). BARQ!'s advantage is ratings volume (319 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BARQ! sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Model Train Media sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
