# Summit Coffee vs Waterbean Coffee

The clearest difference is monetization model: Waterbean Coffee at free against Summit Coffee's free with in-app purchases. Waterbean Coffee also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). Summit Coffee's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 356). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Summit Coffee against 4.8 for Waterbean Coffee. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summit Coffee has 2.6K ratings behind it against 356, so its average is the more settled of the two.
