# Summit Coffee vs Palm Berries

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Palm Berries at 100% against Summit Coffee's 56%. Palm Berries also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). Summit Coffee's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Summit Coffee holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summit Coffee has 2.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Summit Coffee's written reviews are positive against 100% of Palm Berries's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Summit Coffee ships an update every 3 weeks, Palm Berries every 6 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
