# melod vs Guitarfy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Guitarfy at every 2 weeks against melod's every 2 months. melod's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (437 vs 87). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. melod sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Guitarfy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

melod holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: melod has 437 ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two.
