# Units vs Papyr

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Units at 262 against Papyr's 1. Units also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Units sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Papyr sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Units against 5.0 for Papyr. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Units has 262 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Units ships an update every 5 weeks, Papyr every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
