# OneWidget vs Chameleon

The clearest difference is rating: OneWidget at 4.5 against Chameleon's 3.9. OneWidget also leads on ratings volume (222 vs 37). Chameleon's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OneWidget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Chameleon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OneWidget holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OneWidget has 222 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of OneWidget's written reviews are positive against 55% of Chameleon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OneWidget ships an update every 3 weeks, Chameleon every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
