# OneWidget vs iTheme

The clearest difference is monetization model: iTheme at free with in-app purchases against OneWidget's subscription. iTheme also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 54%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). OneWidget's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (222 vs 21). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OneWidget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and iTheme sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for OneWidget against 4.6 for iTheme. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OneWidget has 222 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of OneWidget's written reviews are positive against 80% of iTheme's.

OneWidget ships an update every 3 weeks, iTheme fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
