# OneWidget vs Live Activities

OneWidget and Live Activities both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 91% of Live Activities's written reviews are positive against 54% of OneWidget's. Live Activities also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). OneWidget's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OneWidget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Live Activities asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for OneWidget against 4.4 for Live Activities. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OneWidget has 222 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of OneWidget's written reviews are positive against 91% of Live Activities's.

OneWidget ships an update every 3 weeks, Live Activities every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
