# OneWidget vs Fun Widgets

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fun Widgets at free with in-app purchases against OneWidget's subscription. Fun Widgets also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). OneWidget's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OneWidget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Fun Widgets sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fun Widgets holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 222 and 354 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of OneWidget's written reviews are positive against 65% of Fun Widgets's.

OneWidget ships an update every 3 weeks, Fun Widgets weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
