# Day Counter vs DateTracker

The clearest difference is price: Day Counter at Free against DateTracker's $0.99. Day Counter also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 38 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). DateTracker's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.9) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Day Counter is free to download; DateTracker costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DateTracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Day Counter has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Day Counter ships an update every 5 days, DateTracker every 38 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
