# X vs FTP Client

The clearest difference is rating: FTP Client at 4.5 against X's 1.0. FTP Client also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (36 vs 1). X's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FTP Client sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. X asks for nothing beyond the download.

FTP Client holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FTP Client has 36 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

X ships an update every 2 months, FTP Client every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
