# Manil vs Clapingo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Clapingo at none against Manil's 6. Clapingo also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). Manil's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Manil sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Clapingo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Manil holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clapingo has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Manil's written reviews are positive against 100% of Clapingo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Manil ships an update every 6 months, Clapingo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
