# PI vs CommerceNext

The clearest difference is update cadence: PI at weekly against CommerceNext's every 2 months. PI also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 1). CommerceNext's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CommerceNext holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PI has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PI ships an update weekly, CommerceNext every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
