# Torchable vs Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Torchable at none against Notes's 3. Torchable also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Notes's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 2). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Torchable asks for nothing beyond the download.

Torchable holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Torchable ships an update fortnightly, Notes every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
