# Wallpapers Central vs WallpaperZ

The clearest difference is ads: WallpaperZ at none against Wallpapers Central's shown. WallpaperZ also leads on iOS requirement (16.1 vs 18.0). Wallpapers Central's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wallpapers Central sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 3 months and WallpaperZ sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wallpapers Central holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wallpapers Central has 4.4K ratings behind it against 255, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Wallpapers Central's written reviews are positive against 62% of WallpaperZ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wallpapers Central ships an update every 4 days, WallpaperZ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
