# Wallpapers Central vs WallPics

The clearest difference is ratings volume: WallPics at 54K against Wallpapers Central's 4.6K. WallPics also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and chart position (#22 vs #88). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wallpapers Central sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 3 months and WallPics sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Wallpapers Central against 4.7 for WallPics. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WallPics has 54K ratings behind it against 4.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Wallpapers Central's written reviews are positive against 58% of WallPics's.

Wallpapers Central ships an update every 4 days, WallPics every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
