# HMH Go vs Sadlier Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Sadlier Reader at 3.7 against HMH Go's 2.1. HMH Go's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 25 months) and review sentiment (22% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sadlier Reader holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HMH Go has 71 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of HMH Go's written reviews are positive against 0% of Sadlier Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HMH Go ships an update every 4 months, Sadlier Reader every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
